Two species gather by the millions in the soda lakes of Africa’s Rift Valley to extract plankton from the alkaline waters; three others inhabit the Americas. The birds in this photograph are Lesser Flamingos, Phoenicopterus minor. This photograph is available as an 11x16" signed print, archivally mounted and matted or archivally framed in black metal.
