A Sea of Flamingos
Rift Valley, Kenya
Millions of flamingos of two species congregate to feed on plankton in the soda lakes of Africa’s Rift Valley. The birds in this photograph are Lesser Flamingos, Phoenicopterus minor. The "aerial view" was obtained by climbing a nearby cliff.
