Lava meets the Sea Photographed on the Big Island |
#I18-34 | |||||
New land is created as lava from the world's most active volcano, Kilauea, flows into the Pacific. The beach in the foreground is only hours old, created as lava freezes and shatters into black sand upon contact with the surf. The silhouette of Pele, Hawaiian goddess of fire, watches from the sea cliff at right. This photograph is available as an 11x16" signed print, archivally mounted and matted or archivally framed in black metal. Mounted size is 17"x22" (43x56 cm).
